Glorex Maritime Silicone Mould – 10 Nautical Figures to Cast

The Glorex Maritime silicone mould is used to cast small nautical decorative figures. It is made of soft silicone and has 10 designs, so you can cast several figures in one go.

The silicone is flexible. Once the figures have set, gently press the mould sideways at the edges and carefully release them. The mould can then be used again. You can cast with casting resin or plaster, for example. The figures can be used as decorations, pendants or embellishments for craft projects.

Casting with the mould

Place the mould on a level, firm surface so that the casting compound runs evenly into all the cavities. Pour the compound in slowly to keep air bubbles to a minimum. With casting resin or plaster, tapping the surface lightly and pricking with a cocktail stick will help bring bubbles to the top. Allow the compound to set completely according to the manufacturer's instructions before demoulding. To demould, gently press the soft silicone outwards from the back instead of pulling the figure out. This keeps the fine edges of the designs intact.
