White cotton pot holder 17 × 17 cm to paint

White cotton pot holder to paint and personalise

This white pot holder is made of 100 % cotton, measures 17 × 17 cm and is intended for painting and personalising. The pale surface suits your own motifs, slogans or patterns, for example as a handmade Mother's Day gift.

At 105 g/m², the fabric gives a firm base for applying paint. The square shape gives you room for a single motif or an all-over pattern.

Decorating the pot holder

Wash new cotton items once before painting, so that no residue from manufacturing interferes with the paint. Place a piece of card or plastic sheet underneath while you paint, so the paint does not soak through onto your work surface. Sketch your motif in pencil first, then paint in thin layers, letting each one dry. Whether the paint is washable or heat-resistant once fixed is stated in the information for your fabric paint. It is best to test the paint and fixing on a fabric offcut first.
