Rayher round lampshade ring with cross, 40 cm – lower ring for your own lampshade

The Rayher lampshade ring with cross is a round, white coated ring with a cross and a diameter of 40 cm. It is the lower frame part for a homemade lampshade. The cross holds the fitting and connects the shade to the light source. It fits an E27 fitting.

With the matching counterpart, a ring without a cross as the upper edge, you can make a shade for hanging or for a standard lamp. The counterpart is a separate item and is not included with this ring.

Making your lampshade

You need two rings: this lampshade ring with cross as the lower ring and a ring without a cross as the upper edge. Lampshade film and double-sided tape are not included. Stick the film to both rings with the tape. The cross with the E27 fitting sits at the bottom.

Choosing the shape of the shade

If the upper ring is the same size as this one, the shade will be cylindrical. If you choose a smaller ring, the shade will be conical and taper towards the top. Measure the height between the two rings before cutting the film.
