Felt Pricking Mat 15 × 20 cm – Protects Your Table When Pricking

This grey felt pricking mat measures 15 × 20 cm and is 8 mm thick. You place it under your paper when pricking, which protects the tabletop from damage caused by the needle.

The size is handy and suits smaller pricking designs, such as cards or tags. For larger pictures, the series also includes a mat in 20 × 30 cm.

Pricking on the felt mat

The mat catches the needle point so that it does not go into the table. The felt gives the needle support as it passes through.

• Draw the design on the paper or lay a template on the paper.
• Place the paper on the mat and, if needed, secure it with adhesive tape so that it does not slip.
• Insert the pricking needle vertically and press the tip right through the paper into the felt.
• Make the holes along the lines at an even, close spacing.

Which size and thickness?

The series is available in 15 × 20 cm at 8 mm, 20 × 15 cm at 5 mm and 20 × 30 cm at 8 mm. Choose a size so that your paper does not extend beyond the mat. That way the whole area is protected when pricking.
