Rayher Polystyrene Sheet 20 × 30 × 2 cm – a lightweight base for crafting

The Rayher Styropor® sheet measures 20 × 30 cm and is 2 cm thick. You can cut it to size and use it as a base for craft projects and model making. The white sheet is lightweight and easy to work with.

According to Rayher, you can decorate the sheet with paint, felt, ribbons, glitter and other materials. It also works as a backing for napkins or as wall art. It is suitable for decoupage and napkin techniques as well.

Cutting, gluing, decorating

Cut the sheet with a craft knife or a sharp knife. A sharp knife tears the material less than a blunt one. For gluing you need a solvent-free polystyrene glue, as solvent-based adhesives attack the material. The same applies to spray adhesives and many paints, so you should test paint and glue on an offcut first.

What the size is suited to

At 20 × 30 cm and 2 cm thick, the sheet is suitable as a backing, as a support for a wall picture or as a cut piece for model making. If you need thicker pieces, glue several sheets on top of each other.
