Pipe Cleaners Ø 14 mm, Single Colours, Chenille Stems 50 cm, Pack of 10

Pipe Cleaners Chenille Stems Ø 14 mm – soft, bendable, in single colours

Chenille stems, also known as pipe cleaners, are wire covered with a soft, coloured synthetic fabric. You can bend them by hand into any shape you like, for example for figures, animals, flowers or decorations. Each pack contains 10 pieces, each 50 cm long and Ø 14 mm thick.

As each pack contains only one colour, you can match colours to your project exactly. Choose your colour from the options. At 14 mm, these stems are much thicker than thin chenille wire, so they look plush and voluminous.

Working with pipe cleaners

The wire core holds every bend, and the fabric covers it. The 50 cm stems are suitable for winding, twisting and twirling when making figures and animals.

• To join two stems, twist the ends around each other.
• To shorten them, use wire cutters; ordinary paper scissors quickly go blunt on the wire core.
• The cut ends can be sharp: bend them over or hide them inside the figure so that nothing sticks out.
• For flowers, antennae or arms, shape the wire around a pencil or finger into spirals and loops.
