STABILO woody 3 in 1 duo – colouring pencil, wax crayon and watercolour pencil with two colours

The STABILO woody 3 in 1 duo single pencil combines a colouring pencil, wax crayon and watercolour pencil in one pencil and has two colours in one lead. Turn the pencil to switch from one colour to the other. This lets you draw colour gradients and colour contrasts without changing pencils.

According to STABILO, the pencil has high opacity and colour intensity, even on dark paper and card. Choose which colour duo you receive from the options.

Working with the duo pencil

Used dry, it draws like a soft colouring pencil. As you turn the pencil, the colour changes, and the two shades blend at the transition. Go over it afterwards with a damp brush to blur the colour into watercolour effects. Because, according to STABILO, the pencil is also opaque on dark paper and card, you can use it for sketches, lettering or bold areas on coloured backgrounds. The manufacturer also lists glass and other smooth surfaces as suitable.

What to know about the series

According to the manufacturer, the woody 3 in 1 duo series has 10 colour combinations made up of 16 shades. The lead is thick at 10 mm in diameter and break-resistant, and the pencil is not refillable. STABILO gives the age range for the series as 3–99. A sharpener is not included.
