Marabu Easy Marble marbling paint set, 6 x 15 ml

Marabu Easy Marble starter set – marbling paints for dipping and dropping

The Marabu Easy Marble starter set contains six marbling paints of 15 ml each and instructions. You use it to marble objects by dipping: drop the paint onto the water, dip the object in, and you are done. Suitable materials are plastic, glass, acrylic glass, wood, papier-mâché, blown eggs, metal and polystyrene. Paper is marbled over its whole surface. The paint is based on organic solvents and dries quickly.

You need Kristallklar 101 for single-colour marbling: mix it with the shade you want. The other five colours are Mittelgelb, Rubinrot, Azurblau, Saftgrün and Schwarz.

How to marble by dipping

Work quickly, as the paint film dries very fast. Wear rubber gloves and an apron.

• Clean glass and metal with methylated spirits beforehand.
• Fill a tray with water. Water is enough for paper up to A5; for paper from A5 to A4, Marabu recommends wallpaper paste as the marbling bath.
• Drop the paint onto the surface and swirl it with a stick.
• Dip the object in, pull it out slowly and leave it to dry.

Surface and colour effect

You only get the original shade on a white surface. On wood or papier-mâché, the colours look darker. The standard colours only suit light surfaces. The paint is intended for unvarnished objects. Once completely dry, it can be wiped clean, but it is not wash-resistant and not dishwasher-proof. Clean tools and accessories with Marabu Cleaner & Thinner or white spirit.
