UHU Low Melt Glue Gun 110 °C – Gluing at a Low Temperature

The UHU LOW MELT glue gun (art. no. 48610) is a low-temperature glue gun for craft projects and small repairs. It uses oval UHU LOW MELT 110 °C glue sticks and bonds without solvents. Because of the low melting temperature, it is also suitable for heat-sensitive materials such as polystyrene and soft PVC. It also bonds wood, metal, glass, ceramic, leather and textiles. It is not suitable for PE, PP and PTFE.

The nozzle is heat-insulated, and the gun sits comfortably in the hand and is easy to control. The set includes the glue gun and 4 glue sticks, so you can get started straight away.

Gluing with the low melt gun

First remove dust and grease from the surfaces to be bonded, as even hot melt glue holds poorly on loose dirt. Insert a glue stick, plug in the gun and let it heat up until glue comes out of the nozzle. Apply the glue in spots or in a thin bead and press the parts together straight away. Hot melt glue cools quickly, so you need to work fast. With polystyrene or soft PVC, it is worth doing a short test bond on an inconspicuous spot. If the glue leaves strings, remove them once it has cooled.

Choosing the right glue sticks

The gun is designed for oval glue sticks with a melting temperature of 110 °C. Do not use any other glue sticks, even if they can be inserted. If you put the gun down in between, use a heat-resistant surface, as glue may still drip from the nozzle.

Use only oval UHU LOW MELT 110 °C glue sticks. The nozzle and the molten glue get hot even at a low temperature: do not touch. The gun is a mains-powered electrical appliance, so disconnect it from the mains after use.
