Staufen green A4 spiral pad, squared 5 × 5 mm, ruling 28

Staufen green A4 college pad – squared with margin, made from recycled paper

The Staufen green college pad is an A4 spiral-bound pad for school, university and the office. It has 80 sheets of 90 gsm paper in ruling 28: squared 5 × 5 mm with margin. The paper is white, made from 100% recycled paper, without optical brighteners and without chlorine bleach. The pad carries the Blue Angel eco-label.

The spiral binding on the side lets you fold the pages over as you write, so the pad lies flat on the desk. At 90 gsm, the paper is sturdier than standard copy paper.

What ruling 28 is suited to

The 5 mm squares suit lecture notes, maths problems, sketches and tables, as you can line up numbers and lines with the squares. The margin leaves room for comments, keywords or corrections. For plain text, a lined ruling makes more sense. If you want to buy the same pad again, look for ruling number 28.

Filing and tearing out sheets

Thanks to the 4-hole punching, you can file sheets in a ring binder. The micro-perforation makes it easier to detach individual sheets from the spiral without a ragged edge. It is best to tear along the perforation, pulling the sheet outwards evenly.
