LAMY Z27 Converter for Fountain Pens – Refillable Ink Cartridge

LAMY Z27 Converter – refillable ink cartridge for bottled ink

The LAMY Z27 converter (art. no. 1324761) is a refillable ink cartridge for LAMY fountain pens. You fit it just like a standard LAMY cartridge and fill it with the ink of your choice from a bottle, instead of buying new cartridges every time.

According to LAMY, the Z27 fits the imporium, dialog, accent, logo, aion, st, cp 1, studio and scala ranges. It is very compact, at 72 mm long and 2 g.

How to fill the converter

Push the converter into the fountain pen like a cartridge. Then dip the nib into the bottle of ink and draw the ink up by turning the converter.

• Dip the nib fully into the ink, with the opening submerged
• Turn the converter in one direction until it is full
• Then turn the converter back a little and let some ink escape so that any trapped air is released

Z27 or Z28?

The Z27 and Z28 converters are not interchangeable, because they are intended for different ranges. According to LAMY, the Z28 fits abc, safari, vista, joy, AL-star, Lx and nexx. Before buying, check which range your fountain pen belongs to.
