LYKKE Driftwood Interchangeable Needle Set 3.5" Cacao, Wood

LYKKE Driftwood Interchangeable Needle Set Cacao – 9 Needle Sizes, 4 Cables and Case

The LYKKE Driftwood interchangeable circular needle set in Cacao is a set of 3.5" (8.9 cm) wooden needle tips with cables and accessories for circular knitting needles in different sizes and lengths. It includes 9 needle sizes from US 3 / 3.25 mm to US 10.5 / 6.5 mm, plus 4 cables, 2 connectors, 4 cable keys, 8 cable end stoppers and a needle case in Cacao brown.

Instead of buying a separate fixed circular needle for every needle size and length, you combine tips and cables as needed. That saves space and suits changing projects, from sock and hat yarn to chunkier jumpers and shawls.

Putting the set together

First choose the needle size from your pattern and use the key to screw the two matching tips onto either end of a cable. The cable length depends on the project: the 40 cm cables suit hats, sleeves and other small circumferences, while the 50 and 60 cm cables are for larger ones. For even larger pieces, you can lengthen a cable with a connector. For hats and sleeves worked with two cables using the magic loop method, you do not need another needle.

Stoppers, case and choosing your needles

The stoppers close the cable ends when you put a project aside. The stitches then stay on the cable, and you can use the tips for another project. The case keeps tips, cables and accessories together. The short 3.5" (8.9 cm) tips sit compactly in the hand. What matters for the needle size is the tension given in your pattern; the figure on the ball band is only a guide.
