Uses for the safety pins

When sewing, you can use the pins to hold fabric layers, pattern pieces or inserts together. For quilting and patchwork, you pin the layers in place before joining them. Hem allowances, ribbons or labels can also be fixed temporarily. On fine fabrics, pass the pin through just a few threads so that no larger holes are made. The pins also go through denser materials without much force, because the points are ground slim.
