Prym Love Rotary Cutter Maxi – 45 mm blade with blade guard and soft grip

The Prym Love Rotary Cutter Maxi (art. no. 610473) cuts fabric, paper and similar materials in straight lines. The round blade has a diameter of 45 mm. It gives you clean edges and straight cuts when sewing, quilting and crafting, for example for patchwork pieces, pattern pieces or paper strips.

The blade is protected by a patented safety system: the blade guard slides back as soon as you apply pressure to the blade, and covers the blade again when at rest. The handle is softly padded and the rotary cutter is suitable for right- and left-handers.

Cutting cleanly and safely

Always work on a cutting mat, so that the blade does not damage the tabletop and the fabric does not slip.

• Lay the fabric flat on the mat and place the ruler firmly on the cutting line.
• Hold the ruler securely with your free hand, keeping your fingers well away from the blade.
• Place the rotary cutter against the ruler and press down lightly. The blade guard releases the blade as you do so.
• Cut away from your body in one stroke, applying even pressure.
• Let go of the rotary cutter after the cut, before you put it down, so that the guard slides back over the blade.

What is the 45 mm rotary cutter used for?

A diameter of 45 mm is a common size for long, straight cuts, for example when cutting patchwork strips or pattern pieces. For tight curves and small shapes, a rotary cutter with a smaller diameter is easier to handle. Remove pins before cutting, as metal damages the blade and can make it blunt.
