Applying the motif to the candle

First hold the motif against the candle to try it out and decide where the cross should go. It is 6.5 cm wide and 12 cm high, so the candle needs enough free, smooth surface. The candle surface must be clean and dry. Warm the wax briefly between your fingers until it becomes pliable, then gently press it on, working from the centre outwards. This keeps air bubbles out and improves adhesion. Finally, press the edges down particularly carefully so that they do not lift.
