Rayher LDPE mould – letters and numbers for concrete, soap, wax and chocolate
With the Rayher letters/numbers mould (art. no. 36014000) you can cast 37 designs: the letters A–Z, the numbers 0–9 and two dots. Each design is up to approx. 3 cm high. You can make names, door signs, table decorations or chocolate letters yourself.
The mould is made of LDPE and, according to the manufacturer, is particularly flexible, reusable and food-safe. It withstands temperatures from -15 °C to +60 °C. To fill it, use Rayher Kreativ-Beton, Schmuck-Beton, Raysin casting powder, wax, soap or chocolate. According to the manufacturer, the castings release easily from the mould.
Getting good castings
Place the mould on a level surface and fill all the cavities evenly. This keeps the designs the same thickness so they stand securely later. Let the casting compound harden or cool completely before demoulding. Because the LDPE is flexible, you then push the designs out one by one from the back. Gently pull the mould apart as you do so, and do not force anything out.
Temperature and food use
The mould withstands up to +60 °C. Casting compounds that are hotter are therefore not suitable. According to the manufacturer, the mould is food-safe for chocolate. However, once you have cast concrete, soap or wax in it, do not use it for food afterwards. It is best to keep separate moulds for decoration and for edible items from the start.
