Beadalon swivel lobster clasps 13 mm – jewellery clasps

Beadalon swivel lobster clasps are fastenings for handmade jewellery, for example necklaces and bracelets. You can also use them to attach pendants or charms so that they can be removed. The clasps measure 13 mm and are silver colour, with 3 pieces in each pack.

The swivel lets the clasp turn. This helps when a chain or pendant would otherwise twist while being worn. With 3 pieces you can fit several chains or make a pendant interchangeable.

Attaching the lobster clasp

The lobster clasp is attached to one end of a chain with a ring, and the other end gets a jump ring or a chain link as a counterpart. Open the rings sideways with two pairs of pliers, twisting one side towards you and the other away from you. Do not pull them apart, otherwise the ring will lose its shape and will not close properly afterwards.

Which size to choose

At 13 mm, these clasps are smaller than the Beadalon swivel lobster clasps in 15 mm from the same range. The smaller size suits fine chains and small pendants; for heavier pieces of jewellery, choose the larger size.
