Rayher GOLD starter kit – wire, clasps and crimp beads for necklaces and bracelets

The Rayher GOLD starter kit with jewellery findings contains the most important small parts for making necklaces or bracelets. It is a good way to try out jewellery making; you only need to add beads.

The kit contains 2 × 3 m of stainless steel jewellery wire, 10 lobster clasps, 50 crimp beads, 20 crimp covers and 20 brass jump rings. Everything is sorted in a plastic box with 6 compartments, so you can quickly find the right part as you work and store leftovers neatly.

Attaching a crimp bead and crimp cover

Cut a piece of wire a little longer than the bracelet or necklace you want. Thread on a crimp cover and then a crimp bead, squeeze the crimp bead shut at the end of the wire with pliers and close the crimp cover over it to protect the crimped point. Use a jump ring to attach the lobster clasp to the loop of the crimp cover. Then thread on your beads and finish the other end in the same way. Trim any wire that sticks out with side cutters.

To go with your beads

At 2 × 3 m, the wire is enough for several pieces of jewellery. The 10 clasps and 20 jump rings give you scope for necklaces, bracelets and extenders. The kit is also available in silver and copper, so choose the colour to match your beads.
