Efco MosaixSoft glass mosaic tiles – irregularly shaped glass pieces

Efco MosaixSoft glass mosaic tiles are glass pieces for pictures, tins, frames, trays and other surfaces you would like to decorate with a mosaic. The pieces are irregularly shaped and 8–25 mm in size. The edges are rounded, which makes the pieces more comfortable to handle when laying and sticking them.

You can stick them to many materials and then grout them. The different sizes give a lively mosaic in which you fill small gaps with small pieces. Choose your colour from the options. The colour may differ slightly from the picture.

Making your mosaic

Plan the design first: lay the pieces out dry on the surface and move them around until the gaps look even. Only then stick them down one after another.

• Keep the surface clean, dry and free of grease
• Apply the adhesive thinly and only as far as needed so that no adhesive squeezes out between the pieces
• Let the adhesive dry completely, following the manufacturer's instructions, before you grout
• Work the grout in with a spatula and wipe off excess grout before it sets

Good to know

As the pieces vary in size, you do not need fixed grid dimensions. This helps with round shapes and edges where pieces have to fit without being cut. With glass, the surface and the adhesive affect the colour. Test the combination beforehand on an inconspicuous spot or an offcut.
