Collall Transfer Medium – laser prints on fabric, wood, glass and ceramics

With Collall Transfer Medium you can transfer images from a laser printer onto fabric, wood, glass and ceramics – for printed bags and T-shirts, personalised gifts or home decor. The medium dries clear. Once you have rubbed off the paper, only the image is left on the surface. It is available in 100 ml or 250 ml.

How to use it

• Print the image in mirror image with a laser printer and cut it out, leaving a margin of approx. 3 mm
• Apply Transfer Medium to the front of the image, place the image printed side down on the item and press down firmly
• Remove excess medium with a damp cloth and leave to dry for at least 12 hours
• Moisten the paper with cold water, soak for 10 minutes and gently rub it off with your fingers
• Once dry, apply another layer of Transfer Medium as a seal

Avoiding common mistakes

If you do not print in mirror image, any text will end up back to front. When pressing down, smooth the image from the centre outwards so that no air bubbles remain – the image will not stick there otherwise. Stick to the drying time: if the medium is still damp, the image will come away when you rub off the paper. It is better to rub the paper off in several passes. A whitish haze after drying means there is paper residue left – moisten again and gently rub a little more.

You will also need: a laser print of your image, scissors, a brush for applying the medium and a damp cloth.

Which size? The 100 ml bottle is enough for individual images and first attempts. If you are planning several textiles or larger areas, choose the 250 ml size.
