Efco PROFI Pyrography Station – adjustable wood burning station with 3 wire tips

The Efco PROFI pyrography station is a wood burning tool for patterns, lettering and designs on wood, cork or leather. It comes with the pyrography pen, the station, 3 wire tips and a metal rest, so you can get started straight away.

The power is adjustable, and the station runs on AC 230 V, 50 Hz and a maximum of 30 W. The temperature can be set continuously between 450 and 750 °C. This lets you match the heat to the material: fine lines on leather and cork need less heat than bold outlines on wood.

Working with the pyrography station

First sketch your design lightly in pencil. Then test the temperature on an offcut of the same material before you start on your project. Begin low and raise the heat gradually: designs burn into wood faster than you might expect, while leather and cork react more sensitively. Guide the pen calmly and without heavy pressure, as the heat does the work. If you take a break, put the pen in the metal rest and not on your workpiece.

• Work on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
• The wire tip gets very hot. Let it cool down before changing it and unplug the unit from the mains first.
• The wire tips differ in shape; further shapes extend your options for lines and shading.
