Glorex Quickform – fast moulding compound for negative moulds in minutes

Glorex Quickform is an alginate-based fast moulding compound for making negative moulds of objects, for example for hobby, craft and model making. You mix it with water in a ratio of 1 : 3, pour it over the model and can remove the model again after a few minutes.

The compound is made from natural materials. Choose your pack size from the options.

Making the mould

The compound sets quickly, so have the model and a container ready before you start mixing.

• Place the model in a small container.
• Mix the powder and water in a ratio of 1 : 3 vigorously until there are no more lumps.
• Pour the mixture over the object in a thin stream and spread it evenly.
• After approx. 10 minutes the mould is ready and you can remove the original.

Casting into the mould

Fill the finished negative mould with Keramin, casting resin or wax. The mould withstands brief peak temperatures of up to 75 °C, so when using wax, make sure you do not pour it in any hotter. Cast into the mould soon after removing the original, as alginate-based moulds contain water and can dry out and warp during storage.
