Wood burning stamps with graphic patterns – 12-piece set
With the PEBARO wood burning stamps II (art. no. 20300) you burn patterns such as square, triangle, diamond, circle, eye, drop and leaf into wood, leather or cork. Screw the brass stamp onto your PEBARO pyrography iron, let it heat up and press it briefly onto the wood. If you line the shapes up side by side, you get borders, frames or all-over patterns – on chopping boards, small boxes or wooden spoons, for example.
Tip: Sand the wood finely beforehand and let the iron heat up fully. The edges will then be crisp and the pattern even.
Working with wood burning stamps
- Planning the pattern: Draw a guide line in pencil or mark the spacing. This keeps the stamps in a straight line when making a border.
- Changing stamps: Change the attachments as described in the instructions for your pyrography iron. Do not touch hot attachments with your fingers; use pliers.
- Stamping: Set the stamp down straight and press evenly. The longer you hold it down, the darker the impression. Try out the timing and pressure first on an offcut of the same wood.
- Combining: Different shapes from the set, or turning a stamp, create new patterns, such as stars made from triangles.
Pale woods with little resin, such as lime, poplar or birch, work best, as the contrast with the burnt pattern is clear there.
