3D casting kit with picture frame – hand and foot casts as a keepsake

With the Rico Design 3D casting kit with picture frame, you take three-dimensional impressions of hands or feet and then cast them. The kit contains everything you need for the impression and the casting: impression powder, casting powder, a bowl and a picture frame. Children's hands or feet are typical choices, as a keepsake to display or give as a gift.

The frame is designed for two casts and one photo. You could, for example, show both hands together with a photo.

How your 3D cast is made

The kit works in two steps with two powders. You press the hand or foot into the pink impression powder to create a negative. You then fill this impression with the white casting powder to get the shape as a three-dimensional positive. The bowl is included so that you can mix the powders in the quantities specified in the enclosed instructions.

Getting started

Read the detailed instructions all the way through once before you start and lay out all the parts. With children in particular, it is worth knowing the process beforehand so that you can concentrate fully on the child while taking the impression.
