Pelikan Black Ink Pad – refillable in a non-slip plastic case

The Pelikan ink pad in black, 70 x 110 mm, is what you need to ink rubber and polymer stamps. It comes in a plastic case which, according to Pelikan, is sturdy, break-resistant and non-slip. The grip bar makes it easy to open and close.

The pad can be re-inked. According to Pelikan, it lasts for many tens of thousands of stamp impressions, so you do not have to buy a new one straight away. The inking surface is large enough for standard-sized motif stamps and for text stamps.

Stamping cleanly

Press the stamp evenly onto the pad without rocking or twisting it, then place it straight down on the paper. Too much pressure pushes ink to the edge of the motif and the impression smudges. Over time the colour fades: re-ink the pad, but only in small amounts until it is evenly moist, because too much ink makes fine lines bleed.

Choosing a colour

This ink pad is black. The pad is also available in the same size in red and blue. If you stamp in several colours, you need a separate pad for each colour. According to Pelikan, a signal stripe running around the case shows the colour, so you can also identify it quickly when storing it.
