Drawing a curve with the template

A Burmester template has curve sections of varying curvature. You use them to build up a line from several segments without visible kinks.

• First mark the points your curve should pass through.
• Turn and move the template until one curve section meets at least three points in a row.
• Draw the line only in the middle part of this section, not all the way to the ends.
• Position the next curve section so that it overlaps the line you have drawn by a short distance. This way the segments blend smoothly into one another.
• Hold the pen evenly upright as you draw, so that the line stays close to the edge of the template.
