Clover seam allowance marker set – marking even seam allowances from 3 to 10 mm

The Clover seam allowance marker set (art. no. 7707) lets you mark seam allowances around templates, patterns and shapes. The set contains four round discs for seam allowances of 3, 5, 7 and 10 mm. You run the disc along the edge of the shape, so the distance stays the same even on curves and irregular lines. The set is suitable for appliqué, patchwork and Hawaiian quilts.

How to mark the seam allowance

Choose the disc with the width your pattern specifies for the seam allowance. Place it against the edge of the shape or template, put a fine pen in the hole in the centre and guide the disc along the edge. The pen draws a parallel line on the fabric at the chosen distance. Hold the pen as upright as possible so the line does not wander.

What the set is suitable for

The shape or template can be no more than 0.6 mm thick. The markers are not suitable for thin, flimsy paper. For appliqué and quilts, it is therefore best to work with a firm template.
