Prym Hemming Web 38 mm – No-Sew Hems with an Iron

You need the Prym hemming web, 38 mm wide with backing paper, if you want to finish hems on trousers, skirts, dresses or coats without needle and thread. The web is ironed on with the coated side along the fabric edge, and the backing paper protects both iron and fabric. Once you have peeled off the paper, fold up the hem and iron it down again.

The web is made of 100% polyamide, can be ironed and is washable up to 60 °C. The roll is 5 m long. The range is also available in 30 and 20 mm widths: choose the 38 mm if you want to fold up a deeper hem allowance.

How to hem without sewing

First test on a scrap of fabric how your material reacts to ironing. Then proceed as follows:

• Bring the trousers, skirt or dress to the length you want and trim the fabric edge.
• Place the web with the coated side against the fabric edge and iron it on with the backing paper.
• Peel off the backing paper.
• Fold up the hem and iron it down again.
