Prym serrated tracing wheel – transfer pattern lines as dotted lines

With the Prym serrated tracing wheel ergonomic (art. no. 610940), you transfer pattern lines to fabric or pattern paper. The serrated wheel marks dotted lines, whereas a smooth tracing wheel draws a continuous line. It belongs to the prym.ergonomics series.

According to Prym, the wheels run smoothly and easily and are simple to guide along any line. The ergonomically shaped handle is designed to allow fatigue-free working. The tracing wheel was awarded the Red Dot Design Award 2010.

Transferring markings

You can also mark darts or pocket positions inside the pattern pieces with the wheel and dressmaker's carbon paper. Place the carbon paper with the coloured side facing the fabric, put the pattern on top and go over the lines with even pressure. For two layers of fabric, place the paper between the layers, with the coloured side facing each piece of fabric. Work on a smooth surface and test the marking on a scrap first, so you can see whether it can be removed again.
