YKK 15 cm Zip – Closed-End, with Fine Polyester Coil

The YKK CFC-36 zip in 15 cm is a closed-end coil zip for skirts, dresses, trousers, bags and cushions. The fine polyester coil is soft and flexible, so the zip is easy to sew in and runs smoothly. A standard slider is included.

Closed-end means the zip is firmly closed at the bottom and cannot be pulled fully apart. This makes it suitable for side seam closures and accessories, but not for jackets that need to open completely. Choose your colour from the options.

Inserting the zip

Before buying, measure the opening the zip is to go into and choose a length to match. For side seams on skirts, dresses and trousers, as well as cushion covers and bags, 15 cm is a compact length. Pin or clip the zip in place before sewing and stitch it in with a zip foot. This lets you sew close to the coil so the slider runs freely later.
