YKK 25 cm zip – closed-end, with fine polyester coil
The YKK CFC-36 zip in a 25 cm length is a closed-end coil zip for sewing into skirts, dresses, trousers, bags and cushions. The fine polyester coil is light and sits close to the fabric, and the slider runs smoothly. The zip is firmly closed at the bottom end, so you always open and close it from the top.

What the 25 cm zip is suited to
Closed-end zips work wherever the opening only needs to open at one end: in the side seams of skirts, dresses and trousers, as well as in cushion covers and bags. For jackets that need to open completely, you need an open-ended zip instead.
How to sew it in
Hold the zip in place with pins or clips and sew it in with a zip foot. The foot runs close along the coil, so the seam stays straight and the slider does not catch.
