Prym Magnetic Clasp 19 mm – silver-coloured fastening for bags and pouches
The Prym magnetic clasp (art. no. 416480) in silver colour fastens homemade bags, pouches and rucksacks without the need for buttons or zips. The clasp is made of polished metal and has a diameter of 19 mm.
It is fixed in place with small prongs: push them through the fabric and bend them outwards on the back with pliers.
Attaching the magnetic clasp
Mark the position on both sides of the bag and cut small slits in the fabric for the prongs. Push the prongs through and bend them outwards on the back with pliers until the clasp sits firmly. With thin or soft fabrics, it is best to place a reinforcement underneath, such as interfacing or a piece of fabric, so that the fabric does not tear at the clasp.
