Victorinox metal chain with two carabiners – 40 cm for pocket knives and SwissTool

The Victorinox metal chain (art. no. 4.1815) keeps your Swiss Army knife or SwissTool to hand and protects it from loss. It is 40 cm long and has two carabiners, which you use to attach it to the knife and to a second fixing point.

According to Victorinox, the chain is made of steel and weighs 38 g. The chain is supplied on its own: the knife and leather pouches are not included and are available separately.

Attaching the chain

Clip one carabiner onto the eyelet or key ring of your knife and the other onto a loop or ring, for example on your tool bag or work jacket. The knife stays within reach while you work in the workshop, garden or kitchen and does not fall to the ground. Before use, check that both carabiners are fully closed. The chain is designed as a safeguard against loss, not as a holder for heavy loads.

Will the chain fit your knife?

Victorinox intends the chain for Swiss Army knives and the SwissTool. What matters is that your model has an eyelet or ring to clip onto. With a length of 40 cm, you can plan the distance between the knife and the fixing point; the dimensions of 7 mm in height and 18 mm in width help you judge how much space it needs.
