DEKA Wash & Go – Fabric Dye for the Washing Machine

With DEKA Wash & Go washing machine dye, you can dye natural-fibre textiles straight in the washing machine. You can dye fabrics a new colour, refresh them or redye them, for example towels, a pair of jeans or a T-shirt. The washing machine does the work, so there is no stirring or wringing out by hand. According to the manufacturer, the dyed fabrics are wash-, boil- and lightfast.

One pack contains 25 g of dye and 50 g of fixing agent and covers 500 g of fabric. For larger quantities, plan on several packs. Choose your colour from the options.

Which fabrics can be dyed?

The dye colours all natural fibres such as cotton or linen. You can also dye blended fabrics with a synthetic content of up to 50%, but the higher the synthetic content, the paler the colour will be. The dye is intended for light-coloured textiles: the starting shade affects the result, and the colour comes out clearest on a light fabric. When you refresh or redye an item that is already coloured, the new colour mixes with the old one.

What you need for dyeing

In addition to the pack, you need table salt, approx. 250 g per dye job. Weigh the dry fabric beforehand so that the pack suits the quantity: it is designed for 500 g of fabric. If you dye several items together, the total weight counts. For quantities, temperature and procedure, follow the instructions on the pack. Wear protective gloves and eye protection when mixing the dye and fixing agent, as the fixing agent contains trisodium phosphate.
