Miyacozome HOT DYE ALL – hot fabric dye for plant fibres, animal fibres and polyester
Miyacozome HOT DYE ALL is a powdered hot fabric dye for colouring textiles made from plant and animal fibres as well as polyester. It comes in 28 colours; choose your colour from the options. The 20 g of dye powder is enough for approx. 250 g of fabric, for example two T-shirts.
Dyeing is done in water at 85 °C or above. You only need to heat the water once and can let it cool down while dyeing. This means you can also dye in a bucket or container without having to keep reheating.
Which materials you can dye and what you need
The additives depend on the fibre. Order the fixing agent for plant fibres at the same time, as without the aftertreatment the dye is not fixed on these fibres.
- Plant fibres such as cotton, hemp, linen, viscose, cupro, wood and bamboo: salt as well (approx. 80 g per 250 g of fabric) and an aftertreatment with the Fixing Agent
- Animal fibres such as silk, wool and other animal hair, as well as nylon and polyurethane: vinegar as an additive, no further fixing needed
- Polyester: no additives needed, but the shade comes out lighter
Dyeing polyester darker
For darker shades on polyester, also use the Dye Accelerator, available separately. Dye on the hob and keep the temperature above 85 °C throughout the whole dyeing process. The accelerator only works with heat; in a cooling bucket it has no effect.
Judging the colour result
The colour samples on the colour chart are dyed on white fabric. On coloured textiles the original colour mixes with the dye colour, so a yellow dye on blue fabric will turn out greenish. The type of textile, the temperature and the dyeing time also change the result. Test the colour first on a scrap of fabric or an inconspicuous area.
