Rayher Styropor Torso 50 cm, white

Rayher Styropor Torso 50 cm – figure for painting, gluing and decorating

The Rayher Styropor torso is 50 cm tall and is a white figure with a smooth surface that you can paint, cover with glued-on materials or needle felt. Its size also makes it work as a decorative figure, a display mannequin or a presentation aid for fashion and accessories.

According to Rayher, you can decorate the torso with all-purpose or craft paint, embroider it with sequins, needle felt it or cover it with rhinestones and fabric. It is not intended as a dressmaker's dummy for fitting clothes.

Decorating the torso

The smooth surface takes paint evenly. Apply craft or all-purpose paint in thin layers and let each layer dry before applying the next. For gluing on fabric, rhinestones or sequins, a water-based craft glue works best.

• Painting: craft or all-purpose paint, opaque or transparent
• Gluing: fabric, rhinestones, sequins
• Needle felting: work in felting wool with the felting needle

What to bear in mind

Styropor reacts to solvents: spray varnishes, solvent-based paints and glues can dissolve the material, and hot glue can melt it. Test any new product first on an inconspicuous spot on the back. When needle felting, stab evenly and not too deeply so that the surface does not break away.
