Stringing beads

Cut the wire to the length you want, leaving a little extra, and thread the beads straight on. Unlike thread, you do not need a needle, as the end of the wire acts as the point. To finish, secure the ends with crimp beads and a clasp and trim any excess with side cutters.

Tips for working with the wire

Test first with a sample bead to check that the hole is large enough for 0.38 mm wire; if the wire passes through a bead more than once, the hole needs to be larger accordingly. Do not bend the wire sharply, as the coating can be damaged at a kink and the wire can be weaker there.
