Artemio wooden make-up box with mirror – unvarnished blank to decorate

The wooden make-up box from Artemio is an unvarnished wooden box for you to decorate yourself. There is a mirror in the lid, and inside you will find 6 compartments with a drawer underneath. Paint it, cover it or stain it to your own taste and you get a personal storage box for jewellery, make-up or small craft items.

The box measures 26 × 17.5 cm. The lid has a frame on the outside and closes with a clasp. The compartments and the drawer let you keep small items sorted separately.

Decorating the box

Because the wood is unvarnished, it takes paint, stain, napkin glue and decoupage paper well. Sand the surface lightly first and remove the dust so that the paint adheres evenly. Mask off the mirror and, if you like, the clasp with masking tape before you paint. Apply paint in thin layers and let each layer dry so that the drawer and lid do not stick later on. It is best to paint the inner compartments first, while you can still reach inside easily.
