Creativ Company wooden box with lid, 10 x 10 x 3 cm, 2-part (box and lid)

Wooden box with lid in paulownia – untreated blank to decorate

The Creativ Company wooden box is an untreated blank made of paulownia wood (empress tree) with a loose lid. You can paint it, stick paper on it, stain it or engrave it, and use it as a jewellery box, gift box or small storage box for craft projects.

The box measures 10 × 10 × 3 cm on the outside and 8.5 × 8.5 × 2.2 cm on the inside. This lets you cut inserts, paper or decoration for the interior to size. It is flat and fits small treasures such as jewellery, cards or little keepsakes.

Decorating the box

Before painting or staining, lightly sand the untreated wood with fine sandpaper and wipe off the dust. Craft glue is suitable for covering the box with paper or napkins. Apply paint, stain or varnish only thinly around the rim where the lid sits and let everything dry thoroughly, otherwise the lid will stick later. A small test on the underside shows you beforehand how the stain or paint looks on the wood.
