Rayher bunny family DIY kit – 3 wooden Easter bunnies, 50 pieces

Rayher bunny family DIY kit – make three Easter bunnies from wood and wire

The Rayher bunny family DIY kit is a craft kit for three Easter bunnies: Father Bunny, Mother Bunny and Baby Bunny. The kit consists of 50 pieces: raw wooden figure cones, raw wooden beads, two thicknesses of wire and instructions.

The figure cones come in different sizes. Father Bunny and Mother Bunny are each 7.7 cm tall, while Baby Bunny measures 3.3 cm. This gives you a little family with a clear difference in size, which you can display as Easter decoration on a windowsill, table or shelf.

Decorating the bunny family

Raw wood is untreated, so you can paint the pieces as you like, decorate them with pens or leave them natural. Raw wood absorbs paint: two thin coats of acrylic paint usually cover more evenly than one thick coat. Let each coat dry well before adding faces or details. The instructions in the kit show you how the pieces fit together to make the bunnies.

Two thicknesses of wire for different jobs

The thin wire, 0.35 mm in diameter, is easy to wind and bend, while the thicker 0.65 mm wire is stiffer and holds its shape better. Shorten the wire with side cutters and bend the ends over so that no sharp points stick out.
