Working with the corks

For animals and figures, cut the corks into slices or halves with a sharp craft knife on a cutting mat. Always guide the knife away from you and never hold the cork in your free hand. Join the individual pieces with hot glue, which sets immediately, or with craft glue, which needs a little drying time. Acrylic paint covers well on cork; for faces and details, apply it with a fine brush. For a wreath, glue the corks side by side onto a ring base.
