The wooden tractor wheel with rubber tread has an outer diameter of 80 mm and is intended for model making, craft projects and country-style decor. The wheel is made of wood, and the fitted rubber tyre with tread gives it the look of a real tractor tyre and provides more grip on the surface.

The 8 mm bore takes a suitable axle, such as a round wooden rod. At 25 mm wide and 80 mm in diameter, the wheel suits larger tractors and trailers. The wheels are also available in Ø 60 mm and Ø 43 mm, for example for front wheels or smaller models.

Fitting the wheel

Slide the wheel onto an axle that fits the 8 mm bore, such as a round rod. For the wheel to turn freely, the axle should be no thicker than the bore and should have a little play. To stop the wheel slipping off, secure it at the side with a stopper, an axle cap or a drop of wood glue at the tip of the axle. Make sure no glue runs into the wheel.

What is the wheel suitable for?

For model making and craft projects there are three sizes, and 80 mm is the largest. The wheel suits tractors, trailers and country-style decor. If the front and rear wheels are to be different sizes, combine it with the smaller wheels in the range.
