da Vinci FORTE Series 365 – filbert brush for acrylics, fabric and model making

The FORTE Synthetics Series 365 from da Vinci is a filbert brush with red-brown, slightly firmer synthetic fibres for acrylic paints and hobby projects. The fibres are set in an aluminium ferrule. The short hexagonal wooden handle is finished in a transparent blue-green water-based lacquer. It is very slightly flattened at its thickest point so that the brush does not roll off the table.

The filbert combines two brush shapes in one: turn the brush through 90° and you can paint with the broad side like a flat brush or with the tip like a round brush. This means you do not have to keep changing brushes on small projects.

Working with the filbert

For lines and details, place the tip of the brush on the surface and guide it lightly. For areas and straight edges, lay it flat and pull it along on its broad side. Thanks to the slightly firmer fibres, the brush stays stable as you apply the paint and does not give way straight away on rougher surfaces such as wood, card, unglazed porcelain or ceramic. After painting, rinse acrylic paint out with water straight away. Dried paint in the ferrule damages the fibres.

What it is suitable for

The series is intended for acrylic painting, fabric painting, tabletop gaming and model making, and is suitable for hobby and school use. For body painting, use only paints intended for that purpose. Choose your size from the options. Smaller sizes suit details, larger ones broader areas.
