da Vinci JUNIOR Brush Set 4212 with 3 Round Brushes

da Vinci JUNIOR Brush Set 4212 – three round brushes for school and hobby

The da Vinci JUNIOR brush set 4212 is a school paint brush set with three round brushes for school, hobby and getting started with water-based paints. It contains one series 303 brush each in sizes 2, 5 and 8. That gives you the right sizes for fine lines, details and smaller areas.

The brushes have elastic synthetic fibres that spring back into shape after use. The fibres are held in a stainless metal ferrule. The short wooden handle is finished with water-based lacquer and sits comfortably in the hand when you work close to the paper. A miniature collectable figure is included with the set.

Which size for which job?

The three sizes cover the typical painting tasks. If you are unsure, start with the middle size and change as needed.

• Size 2 (head width approx. 1.8 mm): fine lines, outlines and small details
• Size 5 (approx. 3.3 mm): versatile brush for motifs and medium areas
• Size 8 (approx. 4.5 mm): larger areas, backgrounds and bold strokes

Care after painting

Rinse the brushes thoroughly with water after painting, especially if you have used acrylic paint, as dried paint at the base of the fibres is very hard to remove. Shape the fibres and leave the brushes to dry lying flat. If they stand in water with the fibres down for long periods, the tips will bend.
