Faber-Castell Soft Touch Brush Set 2 – four soft-grip brushes for school and leisure

The Soft Touch brush set 2 from Faber-Castell (art. no. 481600) contains four brushes in different sizes and shapes for painting with watercolours and opaque paints. You get three round brushes in sizes 2, 6 and 10 and one flat brush in size 12. The round brushes have soft synthetic hair with good colour release. According to the manufacturer, the soft handle gives a secure hold while painting.

The set is intended as a basic kit for school and leisure. Set 1 in the series contains different brush sizes.

Which brush for what?

The sizes cover the typical painting tasks. Use the size 2 round brush for fine lines and small details, size 6 for medium areas and motifs, and size 10 for larger areas and broader strokes. The size 12 flat brush covers backgrounds quickly and makes straight edges.

Caring for the brushes

After painting, rinse the brushes under lukewarm water until no more colour washes out. Shape the hair and leave the brushes to dry lying flat. Do not leave them standing in a water jar with the hairs downwards for long periods, as the tip will bend.
