Kryolan Special Film Blood IEW, dark – alcohol-free fake blood for stage and film

Special Film Blood IEW from Kryolan is an alcohol-free fake blood in dark red for theatre, film, television and Halloween make-up. It flows slowly, so it also looks realistic on freshly simulated wounds. Dark red is closer to venous blood.

The blood is glossy and highly pigmented, and it is easy to spread and to remove again. According to Kryolan, it washes out of nearly all fabrics and garments and is suitable for use on and in the mouth, for example for blood effects on the lips. Choose your size from the options.

Creating blood effects

Dab the film blood onto the skin with a brush, sponge or fingertip. For trickles, apply a small amount at the wound and let it run slowly; thanks to the thicker consistency, the trail stays clearly visible. Keep it away from the eyes. Before using it on light-coloured or delicate costumes, test the blood on an inconspicuous spot, because according to Kryolan it washes out of nearly all, but not all, fabrics.

Note on ingredients

The blood may contain carmine (CI 75470) as a colourant, a dye of animal origin. If you are vegan or sensitive to certain ingredients, check the ingredients list on the packaging.
