Pentel Brush Sign Pen – flexible tip brush pen

Pentel Brush Sign Pen – brush pen with a flexible tip for hand lettering

The Pentel Brush Sign Pen is a brush pen with a flexible brush tip for hand lettering, illustrations, graphics and journaling. The tip gives under pressure: light pressure draws fine lines, more pressure makes the strokes wider. This gives you flourishes and lettering with a lively line, without having to change pens.

According to Pentel, the barrel is made of 77% recycled material. The ink is water-based. Choose your colour from the options; according to Pentel, the series is available in 36 colours.

Brush lettering tips

Hold the pen at a shallow angle and guide it across the paper without pressing hard. The basic rule of lettering is thin upstrokes and thick downstrokes with more pressure. Practise this change in lines and curves on a test sheet before you write a word. Smooth paper is kinder to the tip, while rough paper wears it down faster. Put the cap back on after writing.
