LAMY safari fountain pen EF Aquasky – extra fine nib

LAMY safari fountain pen Aquasky – extra fine nib for precise writing

The LAMY safari fountain pen in Aquasky has an extra fine (EF) nib and suits school, university and the office. The body is made of light blue, high-gloss ASA plastic. The polished stainless steel nib writes a fine line that stays clean in small handwriting, notes and bullet journals.

The grip section is ergonomic, with subtly shaped grip surfaces. A viewing window shows you the ink level. The spring-loaded clip is flattened, so the pen does not roll off the table. The safari was designed by the Mannheim Development Group and received the iF Industrie Forum Design award.

First fill and ink

A blue LAMY T 10 cartridge is included, so you can start writing straight away. Push the cartridge into the grip section until it sits firmly. With the separately available LAMY Z 28 converter, you can instead fill the pen from a bottle of ink. To do this, dip the nib into the ink and turn the converter until it fills. The converter is not included. You can check the ink level at any time in the viewing window.

Which nib size?

According to the manufacturer, the safari is available in nib sizes M, B, EF, LH and F. EF gives the finest line and is suited to small handwriting, tables or drawings with lines. If you write larger or prefer a bolder line, a broader nib is the better choice. On smooth paper the fine tip runs evenly; do not press hard when writing.
