uni-ball Signo Sparkling UM-120SP glitter gel pen, 1.0 mm

uni-ball Signo Sparkling UM-120SP – glitter gel pen for dark paper

The uni-ball Signo Sparkling UM-120SP is a gel pen with a glittering finish for art, craft and painting projects. The pigment ink gives solid coverage and sparkles on light and dark paper alike. Use it to add accents to greetings cards, invitations or colouring pictures, including on coloured card.

The pen comes in 8 glitter colours. Choose your colour from the options.

What the Sparkling pen is suited to

The pen also writes on dark and coloured paper, which makes it especially useful for card making: lettering, ornaments, stars or borders on black, dark blue or deeply coloured card. It also adds sparkling highlights to colouring. According to the manufacturer, the pigment ink gives solid coverage, so the colour does not disappear into the surface.

Working with it

The 1.0 mm tip gives a broader line than a fine gel pen, which is an advantage for glitter effects. It is less suited to fine detail on small areas.

• Let the glitter ink dry completely before carrying on, writing over it or closing the card.
• Try out lines first on an offcut of the same paper, as the glitter effect looks different on light and dark backgrounds.
• The transparent barrel window shows you at any time how much ink is left. The pen is not refillable.
