Faber-Castell black laundry marker – permanent labelling for clothes and shoes

The Faber-Castell laundry marker (art. no. 159596) writes in black on clothes and shoes, for example names, departments or team names. The bullet tip has a line width of Ø 1.0 mm. That is enough for clearly legible names and numbers on labels and fabric surfaces.

According to Faber-Castell, the writing sets by itself after 24 hours, or immediately after ironing without steam. It is colourfast and, depending on the fabric, washable up to 95 °C. The marker is suitable for many fabrics and works well for hospitals, nurseries, schools, clubs or leisure use. You can also use it to collect autographs on shirts and caps.

How to mark laundry

Write on smooth, dry fabric, preferably on labels, seams or a smooth inner surface. Then leave the writing to dry and set for 24 hours. If you want to set it straight away, iron the area without steam. Choose the ironing temperature according to the garment's care label. Whether the writing withstands 95 °C depends on the fabric. For delicate textiles, test first on an inconspicuous area.
